What are veneers?

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are custom-colored and made to fit over your natural teeth. They help you achieve a beautiful smile while providing strength and resilience similar to natural tooth enamel. Veneers can fix chipped, stained, and misaligned teeth.

How many appointments does it take to transform your smile with veneers?
The staff at Enamel use a comprehensive approach to dentistry, focusing on how they can create your ideal smile and make it perfectly fit your face.

Step 1: The Consultation Visit

Dr. Kabaklian provides free consultations, so you can see the office and meet the staff before making any decisions about treatment. The most important thing is that you’re comfortable and relaxed in your new dentist office.

During this appointment, Dr. Kabaklian takes high-definition photos of your teeth and discusses your smile goals. You can even print out a picture of your favorite smile to show him the kind of smile you're looking for as an example. Based on your discussion, Dr. Kabaklian will design a custom treatment plan just for you.

Step 2: The Information-Gathering Appointment

Next, you undergo a comprehensive evaluation to understand the condition of your mouth better. This could include x-rays, a gum examination, and the creation of a tooth mold that replicates your teeth.

Step 3: Porcelain Veneer Preparation and Delivery

During this appointment, Dr. Kabaklian prepares your teeth and places temporary veneers. Think of this as a “test drive” that will let you see how your smile will look and feel with the real veneers, before they’re cemented into place. Modifications can be made at this stage; the permanent veneers will then be set to finish.

Step 4: Mouthguard

The final step is to create a protective guard to protect those beautiful veneers at night.

Are veneers right for you?

Veneers not only improve your looks, but they also restore function and bite. They are less invasive than crowns, and they mimic real teeth. The color, shape, and symmetry of your smile can be changed using porcelain veneers. They can also enhance your smile by closing gaps, lengthening ground-down or worn teeth, and covering old, stained fillings.

If improving any of these aspects of your smile is important to you, consider veneers. Call 949-991-2499 or schedule an appointment online with Dr. Kabaklian today.
