What is full mouth rehabilitation?

Full mouth rehabilitation is a systematic approach to restoring all of your teeth at the same time. It’s about treating the cause of your dental problems, not just the symptoms. For example, placing a single dental crown to fix a dysfunctional bite can sometimes worsen your condition and cause jaw problems like TMJ.

The Enamel General and Cosmetic Dentistry staff examine the bone and gums around your teeth and make sure everything is healthy. Then, they work to restore your mouth for health, functionality, and an improved appearance.

Full mouth rehabilitation is also known as "instant orthodontics." Dr. Kabaklian can restore all of your teeth by reshaping and repositioning them without months or years of work, and without braces or retainers.

Am I a good candidate for full mouth rehabilitation?

You should consider full mouth rehabilitation if you have:
•  Suffered a traumatic injury to your mouth and teeth
•  Teeth that are worn down due to years of grinding
•  Severe decay in all or most of your teeth
•  A congenital disorder that causes missing teeth or enamel, or poorly-formed teeth
•  Missing teeth, causing your bite to shift
•  A deep bite (the top teeth go too far down over the bottom teeth)
•  Bone imperfections, such as missing bone or a diseased jawbone

What can I expect from a full mouth restoration?

Full mouth restoration is a complex treatment that requires thoughtful planning and precise attention to detail.

Before getting started, the Enamel General and Cosmetic Dentistry staff assess your bite and facial harmony, and discuss your condition with you in detail. Your initial consultation includes an exam where the staff collect detailed measurements and create a diagnostic “wax-up” blueprint of your mouth to guide the process.

During your consultation visit, the staff can show you several case studies of full mouth reconstructions that showcase results. If you want, you’ll also have access to a list of patients who have had this procedure performed and who are willing to share their experiences with you.

After deciding on a treatment plan, Dr. Kabaklian begins the necessary work to get your mouth in tip-top shape. The staff at Enamel General and Cosmetic Dentistry can restore your smile to the way it was meant to be through a combination of implants, root canals, crowns, and other treatments.

If you’re unhappy with the way your mouth functions, or you’re unhappy with your smile, full mouth rehabilitation might be for you. Call 949-991-2499 or schedule an appointment online today.
