Rendering of dental veneer
Have you always hated your smile because of the way your teeth are shaped… how they are positioned… or their color? Have you wondered whether porcelain veneers are right for you?

At Enamel General and Cosmetic Dentistry, we offer free smile consultations, so you’ll know all of your options before choosing a cosmetic treatment. We’ll take high-definition photos and spend time with you to discuss all your smile concerns so we can come up with the best solution for you, and give you the smile you’ve always wanted. Book an appointment online now.

Porcelain veneers are thin layers of porcelain made in a dental lab, which are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. They are the gold standard for changing your smile, because they:
1.  Are more conservative than crowns (they save a lot of tooth structure)
2.  Do not stain, and they hold their polish and beauty for many years to come
3.  Can provide a more functional bite, to help with chewing and eating.

At Enamel General and Cosmetic Dentistry, we can use veneers to change the shape, color, size and symmetry of your teeth, to give you the smile you’ve always wanted. A cosmetic dentist, like Dr. Kabaklian at our dental office, is trained to make the veneers look natural and to fit your smile.

Popular Myths About Veneers

Myth #1: Many people have a negative idea of veneers because they have seen veneers that look fake - too big, too geometrically shaped, or too white. That's why it is important to carefully choose a dentist who can make veneers that look natural and fit your face well. Veneers closely replicate human teeth if done right, and we are careful to give you exactly the look you want.

Myth #2: The second myth is that veneers are only reserved for celebrities and rich people. Many celebrities have used veneers to achieve their perfect smiles, but you need not be rich and famous to do the same. At Enamel General and Cosmetic Dentistry, we have payment plans to make veneers a lot more affordable. We don’t want the price to hold you back from being able to smile confidently.

Are porcelain veneers right for you?

Veneers not only improve your looks… They can also restore function and bite. They are less invasive than crowns, and they mimic real teeth. At Enamel General and Cosmetic Dentistry, we can change the color, shape, and symmetry of your smile by using porcelain veneers - and we can improve your smile by closing gaps, lengthening ground-down or worn teeth, and covering old stained fillings. If improving any of these aspects of your smile is important to you, consider veneers.

How many appointments does it take to transform my smile?

At Enamel General and Cosmetic Dentistry, we focus on a comprehensive approach to dentistry. We take full face high definition photos and first analyze how we can create your ideal smile, and make it perfectly fit your face. Through this smile design process, we carefully take all of your priorities into account.

Step 1: The Consultation Visit

We offer free consultations, so you can see the office and meet Dr. Kabaklian before making any decisions about treatment. The most important thing is that you’re comfortable in your new dentist office home. We want to make the experience as pleasant as possible.

During the appointment, we take high-definition photos and have an in-depth conversation about your goals and preferences for your smile. You can even print out a picture of your favorite smile on an inspiring model or celebrity, and show us so we know exactly what you’re looking for, and we’ll show you before-and-after photos of past patients whose smiles we have transformed.

We realize communication is extremely important, and that’s why we want to listen thoroughly and help you think about your priorities - so we can design a custom treatment plan just for you.

Step 2: The Information Gathering Appointment

Once we understand your vision for your smile, we’ll take x-rays, verify the health of your gums, and take molds in order to make what’s called a “wax up,” a blueprint that you’ll be able to “test-drive” so there are no surprises when your permanent veneers come back from the lab. (You will be able to see exactly what your smile will look like before we even start the work! The wax-up can be modified, so when we make the veneers they’ll be exactly what you want.)

Step 3: Porcelain Veneer Preparation and Delivery

At this appointment, we prepare your teeth and and place the temporary veneers.

This is the “test drive” mentioned above, which will let you see how your smile will look and feel with the real veneers, before we cement them into place. We can make any modifications at this stage, before the real veneers are finished.

Once you’re happy with the veneers, we’ll remove the temporaries and have the permanent veneers finished. Once they’re ready, we’ll make sure they are up to your specifications, then bond them into place. (We’ll also make sure your bite is fully comfortable.)

The last step is to create a protective guard, to protect those beautiful veneers at night.
